The process is as follows:

1.  Barcodes

2.  Identification

the job number detailing customer and some other special procedure requirements i.e. full asset tracking, this is where all items are listed and a report is sent back to the customer.  The task is then take to the unpacking region where all things are removed from the packaging, a further level of bar coding is then undertaken.

3.  Equipment testing

items that require monitoring are listed under the original job number with complete description, date of procedure and workers name that managed the consignment.  We scan the manufactures bar code and then integrate this in a different exceptional bar code that’s then adhered to the item.  

4.  Hard drives wiped appliances that are chosen fit for reuse are passed to the evaluation and refurbishment section, all information bearing devices are wiped using blancco which is an extremely flexible data erasure tool that erases all traces of information saved on a targeted network.  If items pass complete performance evaluation they are scanned and more info is added to the information base.

5.  Hard drives destroyed

any objects deemed unfit for reuse or neglect performance evaluation are scrapped, any data bearing devices are removed and another attempt to wash the hard disc is undertaken.  If effective we could then use this in a machine that’s in need of a hard drive.  If it fails we destroy the disc.

6.  Products prepared for distribution

all approved and tested products are prepared for distribution and re-use.
